The last bullfighting event at Las Arenas occurred in 1977, leaving the stadium a relic of an outdated Spanish tradition. Although bullfighting has somewhat fallen out of favor (outside of Pamplona that is), it is still an important facet in Spain’s history. Therefore the city sought to preserve the historical significance of Las Arenas while bringing the building into the 21st century

The Arenas Mall is an old bullring inaugurated on March 23 of 2011 and has 106,250 m2 of shops, restaurants, cinema and culture.
Its exceptional and emblematic front belongs to 1900.
The mall also contains the Museum of Rock and, at the 5th floor, you reach a circular terrace with 360 degree panoramic views of the city of Barcelona.
There is also a jogging track for those interested in practicing sport.
